Buffalo area garden in Garden Gate magazine

This great Buffalo area garden takes up a double page spread in this month's Garden Gate magazine. Of course, this is Garden Gate, so they don't identify where the house is, or who the gardeners are -- or even the zone the garden is in! Rest assured it's a beautiful garden. It is the Coyne DiNezza garden.

It has been featured in the pages of Garden Gate before, with comments from the garden owners -- and even made the cover! Here it is chosen to illustrate the article about choosing shrubs for front yard gardens. The symmetry of the garden above is amazing! It's a great home and I love the unique "rolled-edged" roof.

The gardeners say of the front yard, "The current landscaping to this English-cottage-style home
has been developed over the past 13 years. The front beds were expanded to be in better proportion to the house so it would look like the house was part of the garden. They are comprised of primarily evergreen and deciduous shrubs and trees…hemlock, weeping Japanese maples, PJM rhododendrons, cypress, boxwood and holly. Some perennials were included for additional interest.
"

You can see this garden during the Snyder CleveHill Garden View tour on Sunday, July 14, or it can be seen on the National Garden Festival's Open Gardens on Thursdays, for specific hours only. It may even be on one of the National Garden Festival's garden-themed AAA/Horizon Tours motorcoach tours. I'll have to check on that. It was last year.
